Your place to
be you.
Casa Q is home to LGBTQ+ teens and young adults in New Mexico who need safe, affirming housing — and a community that sees them fully. We run a group home for teens 14–17 and a Transitional Living Program for young adults 18–22.
Casa Q Group House
A safe, affirming home for LGBTQ+, BIPOC, or Ally teens who can’t stay where they are. Structured care, school support, and a chosen-family environment.
Transitional Living Program
Your own apartment, wraparound case management, and real runway to independence — built specifically for the LGBTQ+, BIPOC, or Ally young adult.
We build chosen family — and the roof over it.
Too many youth in New Mexico face family rejection, unsafe housing, and systems that weren’t built for them, particularly LGBTQ+ and BIPOC youth. Casa Q exists because they deserve more than a bed — they deserve a home, a plan, and people who believe in them.
Outcomes that Matter
We measure what changes for young adults — not just what we provide. Here’s what we track across the Transitional Living Program (TLP).
Five pillars. One life.
The Casa Q outcome framework organizes young adult support across five connected pillars — housing is the floor, everything else is what it takes to truly thrive.
Housing Stability
Safe, LGBTQ+ affirming placements and long-term retention.
Independent Living
Budgeting, cooking, ID, benefits, transit — the real-world skills.
Education & Employment
Re-enrollment, credentials, and sustainable income pathways.
Health & Wellness
Primary, mental health, and gender-affirming care access.
Community & Belonging
Trusted adults, affirming peers, lasting chosen family.

“This Christmas is already special because life is better and I have people who love me. There’s nothing better I can ask for than a warm home and people who love me.”
“Your progress doesn't have to be seen or validated by others for it to be real”
Get involved
Three ways to back LGBTQ+ youth in New Mexico today.
One year. One young adult. One life on track.
Approximately $13,630 is what it costs to house and support one young adult in our Transitional Living Program for a full year — apartment, case management, life skills, and affirming care.
